four on six

There is so much great music in the world, which for one reason or another has been forgotten about, or simply never became well known outside its country of origin.

For this album we have some beautiful French waltz musette -  a style that was popular in Paris in the early to mid-twentieth century, and was accessible and danceable.

Brazilian choro, a style of popular music that pre-dates samba and bossa nova is another fabulous style that, in its day, dominated the music scene.

We hope you enjoy what we think is a healthy mix of some of those tunes, evergreens and audience favourites.

four on six - vol 2

Taking the opportunity to show what different music we've discovered and rediscovered over the past few years we present four on six - vol 2.

An eclectic mix of music styles from Gypsy Jazz, Latin, Southern Rock, Swing, Waltz Musette and film themes to Beatles newly arranged for violin and guitar.

four on six - vol 3

In our long and multifaceted careers as musicians we have gathered experience in many different genres, ranging from chamber music, orchestral, jazz, studio, film, big band to pop.

This album mixes periods and genres to bring you ....

Listen to the music of Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli, but also Lennon and McCartney, Pixinguinha and Gilbert O'sullivan, and a few more as well.

four on six - plays the Beatles

Fifty years after the release of their iconic White Album we celebrate the enduring nature of the The Beatles.

Twenty songs from eight different albums recorded by The Beatles between 1964 and 1969.

Choosing personal favourites and taking suggestions from our audience we present a retrospective of The Beatles

The challenge of researching and transcribing everything from Paul's trademark bass lines to the baroque piccolo trumpet solo in Penny Lane kept us newly engaged with the music and history of John, Paul, George and Ringo.

We've performed this music in concert several times - keep an eye out to see if another Beatles night is  coming up.
